Description: Victualling Office. Receipt of letter with extract from Lord Berkeley complaining of want of beer, butter and cheese in the fleet. There are 1000 tuns of beer in victualling ships under convoy of the Trident which lay at Lymington awiating a convoy. There is very little butter and cheese available, the suppliers have vessels awaiting a convoy from the North and want payment. Their agent in the fleet writes of the supplies available in detail and they wonder why there is said to be a shortage.
