Report from Lord Lansdowne to Lord Dartmouth, Secretary of State, concerning the case of Capt Thomas Hyde; who, having been put to great personal expense for the care and welfare of English prisoners-of-war in Spain, now seeks the post of Sub-Major of Chelsea Hospital; to which Lord Lansdowne's opinion is that Capt Hyde should be appointed to some other position, the present Sub-Major still being alive.
