Description: Folios 701-703. To: The Local Government Act Office. From: William Baker, Clerk to the Lymington Local Board, Lymington [Hampshire]. Subject Matter: Letter enclosing a copy of a notice served on all the members of the Board of an intended application to the Court of the Queens Bench. Baker gives further information as to the proceedings of this matter, and states that the present notice appears to be an attempt to evade the application to the Attorney General by proceeding against individual members and he therefore asks for the opinion of the Law Officers of the Crown to be taken on the foregoing question in case of any doubt.
