Subject Matter: Letter requesting the address of the Commissioners who executed the [Advances for Public Works] Act 1842 to authorise the advance of money out of the consolidated fund to a limited amount for carrying on public works and fisheries and the employment of the poor etc., and in the execution of any Acts recited in that Act., etc., that they may make advances to the Local Board on any district on the security of the rates, with reference to section 108 of the Public Health Act 1848.
