Description: Folio 146. To: George Bailey, Clerk to the Luton Local Board, Luton [Bedfordshire]. From: The General Board of Health. Subject Matter: Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter of the 3 March 1853, with reference to Mr Oliver, and the request to be informed on whether the decision of the General Board although binding on the Local Board, is also binding on Mr Oliver. It is advised that the General Board have intimidated to Oliver that they did not see any reason for interfering with the decision of the Luton Local Board, and therefore the original order of the Local Board is binding on Oliver and no formal order of the General Board is necessary.
