Description: Folios 231-233. To: The Local Government Act Office. From: Butler and Smith, Solicitors to the Idle Local Board, 17 East Parade, Leeds, [Yorkshire]. A letter and a notice sent to the Bradford Corporation and the Calverley Water Company by Butler and Smith on behalf of the Idle Local Board. Butler and Smith forward the notice, they also question the Bradford Corporation and the Water Company's ability to stop the Idle Board applying for a loan so to realise their own water supply, and the right of that Board to reject the supply of water to their District from the Corporation and Company. The notice informs the Corporation and Company of the Idle Local Board's desire to procure their own water supply for their District, it requests to know of any plans the addressed parties might have to supply Idle with water and reminds them they have no right to interfere in the Idle Board's business.
