Description: Folio 201. To: The Local Government Act Office. From: Frederick Illingworth, Churchwarden and Summoning Officer, Idle, [Yorkshire]. A letter acknowledging receipt of a letter respecting the adoption of the Local Government Act 1858 in the part of Idle not included in the District of the Windhill Local Board. In reply Illingworth informs the Office that the population of the proposed Idle District was recorded as 4994 at the last census, although it has undoubtedly increased since then.
