Description: James Newell, Lymington. Has written to his partner in Barnstaple to purchase the knees and plank, part of which is intended to be shipped to the River. When viewed the timber was not sawed or hewn and some was unsuitable. Will put a stop to it being shipped to London and direct it to Plymouth. Asks for orders for the Plymouth Officers to receive it from Captain George Bartlett, which is surplus to contract, in the name of John Ayles.
