Description: Captain J. Hale, Badger sloop, Plymouth. Is to be refitted for the West Indies and asks for gratings for the hatches to preserve men from breaking their limbs, as the hatches have to be unlaid at night for air. Several accidents happened on the coast of Africa and when they were closed at night the men were almost suffocated, especially the invalids.
