Description: Thomas Corbett. Captain Hale of the xebec, the Brave, reports that as he had no Surgeon for his voyage from Lisbon to Gibraltar, he has persuaded the Surgeon's Mate of the Centurion, John Abbott, to act as his Surgeon. We are ordered to appoint Mr. Abbott to Surgeon but Alexander Findlay was appointed Surgeon of the Brave in September and was to take the first opportunity of sailing for Lisbon. Captain Hale has been advised.
