Letter from John Walker and William Woomwell, [Overseers], Wellow, Southwell Union, to the Local Government Board, stating that at the recent audit the auditor disallowed £3 being a quarter of the salary due to the Assistant Overseer, because his appointment was not confirmed by the magistrates until July 1873 due to the fault of the magistrates clerk. They ask for remittance of the amount. They append a copy of the auditor's reasons [not included].
