CLOTH SEAL 153712
Description: Medieval to early Post Medieval complete two piece cast lead cloth seal. Comprised of two discs, one with a central perforation, the other with a raised spoke for attachment. The raised spoke has a hatched design, of 4 vertical lines and 4 horizontal lines. The remainder of the lower disc is plain and udecorated. The upper disc is worn, apparently having two legends in concentric circles, separated by a narrow, raised circle. The remains of the inner circle appears to have the letters AO. The outer circle reads ---ANOBT---. The arm holding the two discs together is very worn. The open disc has a diameter of 20.87mm and is 2.39mm thick. The closed circle has a diameter of 20.33mm and is 5mm thick. The arm is 16.68mm long. The seal is a light cream-brown colour.
